Who Says I Can't Be In More Than One Place At One Time ? - 1977
A polaroid performance,
Eventworks, Massachusetts College of Art

Life-size images of myself (front & back) were placed in 6 locations throughout the school building. Each pair was mounted so that the front image was on one side of the wall and the back image was on the reverse side of the wall. I enlisted the help of 3 volunteer photographers, one posted at each of the initial three pairs of photographs.
They each had a Polaroid SX-70 camera.

From a starting line placed on the floor of the gallery, I began from a runner’s starting position --- up two floors, to the first image. A photo was taken. I then ran to the other side of the photo, on the reverse side of the wall inside a classroom, had another photo taken. That photographer ran to the gallery to post the first two images on the gallery wall, than ran to the 4th pair of images. I ran to the next pair of images, had another pair of Polaroids taken … ran to the next position, etc. I arrived in the gallery before all the Polaroids developed... “being in more than one place @ one time”.
